We are seeking a Financial Analyst - FP&A for our Finance division to join our rapidly expanding, dynamic team

**WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS**:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, reporting to the Director, FP&A will be a key contributor to the forecasting, budgeting, and financial/operational reporting cycles to help the company’s financial health and business strategy.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to support the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports and analysis, including a detail variance analysis, profitability, KPIs and cash flow; create and improve complex financial models and contribute to the long-term strategic planning.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:
- Support components of the financial planning process for quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, and the five-year strategic plan including Cash Flow Statement, P&L, and Balance Sheet
- Maintain and improve detailed financial models that track and analyze functional costs and operational metrics, linking these to the company’s overall performance
- Prepare periodic cash position reports and assist in the development of the cash flow forecasting process
- Assist with the evaluation of forecasting accuracy and variance analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate financial analysis and provide advice to business leaders
- Maintain databases including historical performance, statistics, operating metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Contribute to the monthly financial presentations for business leaders
- Understand accounting policies (IFRS) and ensure accurate reflection in the various planning and reporting tools.
**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation
- Airline experience and understanding of airline operations and finance would be considered an asset
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a finance role in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced financial modelling and forecasting experience, including three statement modelling
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel with the ability to efficiently handle large datasets and concisely present and articulate these to management
- Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI - basic data table manipulation is considered an asset
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters appropriately
- Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills combined with a logical and efficient approach to the job, with keen attention to detail.
