H.C Transport is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our employees work in a safe environment and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to employees
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
- Investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for corrective action
- Keep up-to-date with changes to health and safety legislation and ensure compliance
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities as necessary
- Review Daily Log Books
- Conduct Health and Safety orientation for new staff and contractors.

Qualifications:

- At least 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the transportation or forestry industry
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficient with computers and willing to learn new programs when necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rosslyn, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
