**Assistant Care Manager**

**What You’ll Do**:
As our Assistant Care Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our residents receive exceptional, individualized care. In this role, you will:

- Lead and support our nursing and healthcare staff in delivering compassionate and high-quality care.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to licensed practical nurses, health care aides, and allied health professionals.
- Ensure residents’ care plans are implemented with care and respect, maintaining their dignity and well-being.
- Oversee daily rounds, problem-solve care challenges, and ensure the nursing team adheres to best practices.
- Facilitate admission assessments, develop care plans, and supervise their implementation.
- Address concerns of residents and families, enhancing their quality of life and satisfaction.
- Provide training, orientation, and professional development to the nursing team.
- Participate in incident investigations and serve on the Occupational Health and Safety Committee to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with staffing adjustments, performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and care process enhancements.

**What You Bring**:

- Active RN registration with BCCNM.
- A recognized nursing program graduate; a Master’s in health administration or a related field is an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in long-term care or a healthcare leadership role.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire change.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Cantonese/Mandarin language skills are an asset.
- Proficiency in using computerized client and scheduling systems.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
