We are looking for a **Care Aide Manager** **to join our Point Grey Private Hospital team in Kitsilano
**Job Duties**
This position assumes a role in planning, directing, and developing clinical standards to promote quality care for our seniors. The responsibilities include meeting and adhering to professional standards, complying with organizational and corporate policies and procedures, supporting corporate and organizational missions, goals, and values, promoting teamwork among associates and fostering positive tenant outcomes. Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills are a must as well as the ability to work well with others and be sensitive to their problems, concerns and goals.
Emergency ‘On Call’ will be shared with management team.
**Personal Characteristics**
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner.
- Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.
- Good communication skills (written & verbal English).
- Resourceful and well organized.
- Requires ability to work with a minimum of supervision and excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills.
- Participative management style-advocate of team concept.
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
- Results and people oriented, but have sound judgment and the ability to balance other business considerations. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive when appropriate.
**Qualifications**:
- Experienced HCA who has previous care manager experience
- Graduate from an approved Care Aide, RCA, Nursing assistant, or PSW program
- Registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry
- Current First Aid, WHMIS and Food Safe Certificates.
- Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
- 3-5 years working with seniors in a long-term care setting
**Requirements**:
- Job requires a significant amount of sitting, standing, reaching, walking, lifting and walking (according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Definitions, this job is considered “Medium”).
- Frequently lifting and/or carrying objects up to 20lbs.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations in the workplace.
- Proof of vaccination

**Point Grey Private Hospital is located in Vancouver’s ocean-side community of Kitsilano.**:
Point Grey, significantly expanded and improved in 2020, offers 153 licensed residential care beds consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Point Grey boasts views of the mountains and ocean as well as large windows and homelike furnishings. This home has four stories with a dining area, recreation areas and a large outdoor patio on each floor. The desirable location and freshly decorated interior provides our clients with a comfortable and homelike environment. Point Grey Private Hospital works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority to offer funded beds but also has five private pay rooms available.
