We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:
Strategic Business Analyst
100% Regular
Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week
**Union Exempt Level 7**: $83,100 to $97,800 per annum
Under the general direction of the Executive Officer, the Strategic Business Analyst is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the strategic planning process. This includes public consultation aligned with the strategic plan; project management in support of strategic initiatives; monitoring and measurement of progress; analysis of data to assess key performance indicators; synthesis of information; and public reporting for transparency and accountability.
The overall purpose of the job is to conduct investigations, compile evidence, and provide guidance to senior management on developing, monitoring, and measuring corporate priorities.
**Qualifications**:
Post-secondary degree in business administration, public administration, educational research, or a related discipline and 3 to 5 years of experience in strategic analysis, research and public consultation with an equity lens.
A Masters degree, doctorate or other graduate work with a research focus and experience in the Education Field are considered assets.
Excellent research and analytic ability for coordinating research and utilizing appropriate research tools;
Knowledge of public consultation strategies; research methods; research ethics; data equity; statistical analyses; data visualization; and data-informed story-telling
Communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required for collaborating and providing advice and direction to District employees, and the public;
Ability to write reports and make presentations to large/small groups, in a public forum.
Uses tact and diplomacy in daily interactions with others and demonstrates sensitivity to stakeholder voice and respects confidentiality of data/information;
Judgment skills used for problem solving and decision-making;
Organization skills and time management techniques for organizing and prioritizing work, and managing multiple projects with varied timelines; demonstrates flexibility to changing work demand and schedules and adapt appropriately;
Promotes an inclusive environment and models honesty, transparency and integrity in accordance with the mission, vision and values of the OCDSB.
