Vancouver, Canada Paladin Technologies Full time

As a Technician I - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. You’ll work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV setups, and prewiring projects.

This role requires the ability and knowhow to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

We expect all employees to represent Paladin in a professional manner in line with our values of a leadership mindset, people development, team, and client focused. Though based in Vancouver, you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms
- Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components
- Assist in system design and layout
- Provide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries
- Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation
- Perform other tasks as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
- Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems, CCTV, and prewiring is desirable but not required.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.

**Pay**: $20.00 ph - $27.00 ph (DOE)
