**Job Description**:
Position: Production Manager

Department: Operations

Reports to: Plant Manager

Positions Reporting: Plant Operations

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for leading the Plant in its mission of safely producing quality shelf stable soups, broths and sauces at a competitive cost.

Key Responsibilities:

- To enable sustainable improvements in quality metrics including: employee and food safety, quality, paper and liquid loss, conversion cost, speed to market and customer service
- Manage a staff of direct reports through regular performance reviews and developmental activities to insure movement towards a high performance organization, while assuring effective performance of the department
- Drive sustainable performance improvements in line with budget commitments
- Lead the monitoring, communication and analysis of key plant metrics on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis to ensure achievement of CTQ commitments
- Be an active and engaged shop floor leader who leads by example, promoting the values of the high performance work system
- Drive employee personal development through the execution of performance management tools, training plans and employee retention activities

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- A minimum of five years manufacturing experience in progressively expanding roles including a minimum of 2 years in plant leadership role
- Food processing, HACCP, USDA, Aseptic Processing
- Results-driven with a strong desire to grow and learn in a fast paced environment
- Must be well versed in the latest Manufacturing Improvement methods and procedures to drive business results and customer satisfaction
- Must have requisite leadership skills and experience to thoroughly develop/challenge the organization to achieve high performance
- Must be a self-starter who can accomplish results in an ambiguous environment with little or no direction
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities to achieve desired financial, quality and customer service goals
