**Business Development Manager**

[Base salary - 80-90K/year]

**The Role**

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This new role will be instrumental in establishing our sales function from the ground up, including developing sales processes, pipelines, strategies, and eventually building and leading a sales team.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sales for our company, drive revenue growth, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with broader business objectives.

**The person in this role will**:

- Effectively shape and lead the sales team_
- Lead, support and grow the team to elevate skillsets and expertise
- Play a key role in leveraging our CRM system to:_
- Streamline sales processes
- Enhance data visibility
- Facilitate seamless collaboration across departments
- Develop and formalize KPIs_
- Develop and implement KPIs for all sales initiatives

**Responsibilities**:

- Sales Strategy and Planning:_
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market reach.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify target markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities.
- Development & Management of Sales Processes:_
- Build and maintain sales pipelines, leveraging data-driven insights to prioritize leads and opportunities.
- Lead the optimization of HubSpot CRM to streamline sales processes and enhance pipeline visibility.
- Develop and implement sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, nurturing, and conversion.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure sales effectiveness and performance.
- Client Relationship Management:_
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and prospects, ensuring exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide coaching and training to the team to enhance client relationship management.
- Team Collaboration and Training:_
- Provide sales training, guidance, and support to internal teams as needed.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and training programs teams to align sales efforts with broader business objectives.
- Market Analysis and Industry Insight:_
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategies and tactics.

**Must haves (qualifications, experience and skills)**:

- Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or related roles
- Positive energy, ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Proactive/willingness to take initiative, and ability to take direction well
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decision-making
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and market dynamics
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)
- Experience implementing & tracking KPIs
- Based near GTA or could travel regularly for in-person meetings with EPIC’s leadership team

**Nice-to-haves (qualifications, experience and skills)**:

- Management/leadership experience
- Previous experience in education/training industry
- University degree
- Bilingual English-French
