We are one of the largest sellers of Steam equipment ( steam traps, CRU's and APT's) for Western Canada. We represent _**Spirax Sarco in Western Canada.**_ Over the last couple of years, we have experienced phenomenal growth in our Steam Business Group, and we wish to maintain growth in revenue and serviceability by expanding our team. To fuel this growth, we are on the look out for a **Technical Sales Specialist for Steam Business Group**.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the TSS- Steam will play a key role in fueling the growth of Steam Business, by supporting and growing on a wide variety of tasks within the Unit and by forging calls with the Sales Account Managers. You will call on the Chief Engineers, Sustainability Managers, GHG’ In-charges, Engineers, Power Engineers etc. on a regular basis and present the value AR Thomson gets to the table and demonstrate our capabilities. You would also be responsible for working on new projects with a variety of end users and focusing on providing a comprehensive solution.

**Responsibilities**:
A Technical Sales Specialist - Steam Business Unit shall provide assistance and support, besides, formulating short term and long-term strategies for Steam Business Unit Growth.

He/she shall be instrumental in working with the Sales Team for Steam Products and Steam packages.

Some of the responsibilities that come with the role are:

- Making Calls to End Users, EPC’s with Sales Team, Providing assistance to customers and educating them.
- Imparting Product Knowledge and training to customers and the sales team
- Developing and monitoring Key performance indicators for growth.
- Making presentations to customers and participating in Canadian Boiler Society meetings.
- Managing sales tracking tools and reporting on important information
- Keeping record of sales trends and looking at avenues for growth.
- Reporting to the Business Managers and budgeting for sales, service, training, and inventory management.
- Staying up-to-date with new product and feature launches and ensuring sales team is on board
- Reviewing orders and specific customers requests to ensure excellent customer service & experience

A technical sales specialist for steam must have knowledge on the technical side of Boiler, Condensate recovery, Deaerators, Desuperheaters, Thermocompressors etc. and other equipment that goes into several areas of a steam cycle and functioning of the Steam Cycle.

**Skill Sets**:

- Technical skills: Should have extensive knowledge of Steam Products and services offered in Steam Vertical. Should be able to understand and explain technical concepts to customers and sales team members.
- Communication skills: Should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Should be able to communicate clearly and with customers, sales team members, account managers, and other stakeholders. They should also be able to write reports and proposals for vendors or clients related to technical products.
- Analytical skills: Should have good analytical skills, such as researching the current market trends, learning about new technology products, assessing customer needs, and recommending the most suitable products or services. They should also be able to develop and monitor performance indicators and track sales data.
- Teamwork skills: Should have good teamwork skills, such as collaborating with sales team members, account managers, and other departments to develop specific sales strategies and achieve business goals. They should also be able to share information and feedback with their colleagues.
- Travel: May need to travel frequently to meet vendors or customers or to lead instructional demonstrations for a product. They may also be ready to work long hours to meet deadlines and keep pace with our growth.
