**What’s the job?**

A Donor Relations Officer (DRO) at United Way Southern Vancouver Island (UWSVI) is someone who comes to work with a smile on their face. You’re smiling because you get to work with donors and stakeholders to raise money and support for the network of services we provide in our community. With your awesome relationship building and organizational skills, you will engage new and existing donors to the United Way to create meaningful philanthropic opportunities.

**What other things will you get to do every day?**:

- Get a great feeling from the positive interactions with donors as you build and maintain relationships
- Develop and deliver engagement, cultivation and stewardship programs for our leadership giving and legacy giving program
- Work with donors to fulfill their legacies through a comprehensive planned giving program
- Proactively and creatively work with our team to design and delivery amazing donor experiences
- Have fun working with like-minded committed people

**Who are we looking for?**:

- You have experience in fundraising or marketing, and can inspire people
- You are a great multitasker and know how to organize and prioritize to get the job done
- You have a relevant degree or diploma or equivalent level of real world experience
- Desire to raise money for community good
- Your presentation skills are fantastic, not quite Steve Jobs, but close
- Working with the Microsoft suite of products is like breathing to you
- You love teamwork and show your team spirit daily
