Franchise Development Manager

Founded in 1998, Lafayette Group of Companies is headquartered in the Canadian High Tech Center in Markham, Toronto. “Lafayette” is a multinational company in both North America and Asia that manufacturing, processing and distributing baking products and providing technical support for various companies such as airlines, hotels, cafes, retail and grocery chains and food services corporations.
We are searching for a Franchise Development Manager, who will directly report to our President.
**Responsibilities**:
**Franchise Sales**:
- Negotiate and finalize franchise agreements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
**Market Research and Analysis**:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential markets for franchise expansion.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform franchise development strategies.
- Provide recommendations for territory development and site selection based on market data and demographic analysis.
**Franchisee Support and Training**:
- Collaborate with the training department to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new franchisees.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to franchisees throughout the onboarding process and beyond.
- Address franchisee concerns and issues, serving as a liaison between franchisees and headquarters.
**Relationship Management**:
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing franchisees to foster loyalty and collaboration.
- Attend franchisee meetings, conferences, and events to maintain regular communication and gather feedback.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company's values and culture to franchisees and external stakeholders.
**Documentation and Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with franchise regulations, legal requirements, and brand standards.
- Maintain accurate records of franchisee communications, agreements, and performance metrics.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to track franchise development progress and achievements.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in franchise development, sales, or related roles within the franchising industry.
- Strong understanding of franchise operations, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
