Manager, Talent Acquisition

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee hiring and deployment strategies to meet business needs, while being in accordance with Paladin’s best practice standards
- Manage the team by developing and maintaining effective work structure and processes
- Ensure comprehensive training, coaching, and development of all team members
- Incorporate innovative hiring methods to identify unique and non-traditional sources of recruiting
- Analyze metrics of current staffing needs and forecasts, including Planned Absenteeism (e.g., vacations), and Unplanned Absenteeism (e.g., sick days, medical leaves, bereavement leaves, unexcused short-notice book-offs, etc.)
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate based on business needs, such as seasonal increases in airline activity (e.g., spring break, winter holidays, etc.)
- Build and execute strategies for operational mandates, such as major construction projects
- Succession planning for promotions, retirements, and resignations
- Organize career fairs and other recruitment initiatives to attract available talent within with the aviation security industry
- Provide internal Paladin metrics and regular quality KPI reporting, enabling the identification of areas of improvement in the overall hiring process?
- Assist with employee retention and development; support employment branding initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, Glassdoor/Indeed reviews, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency in recruiting and development techniques, workforce planning, employment law, provincial and federal regulations and requirements, and HR best practices; attends relevant workshops and networking events regularly
- Other duties as required to assist with operational needs

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources with at least two (2) years of direct leadership experience and in a unionized environment, preferably in the aviation or security industry
- Proven experience in developing and implementing recruitment and HR strategies
- Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance
- Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, build strong working relationships, and interact with people at all levels of the organization with tact, diplomacy, and in a professional manner
- Strong desire to add value to the workplace by driving HR best practices and sharing innovative ideas to create an exceptional corporate culture
- Effective organizational, planning, and analytical skills
- Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite
- CPHR designation would be considered an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset

**Salary: $90,000 - $100,000**
