- **What you will do**:_
- Be the prime, customer facing focal during the execution phase of Hepburn’s capital projects.
- Oversee purchasing execution, from contract signature to end of warranty.
- Develop realistic project plans that are aligned with our contractual commitments and customer delivery requirements.
- Communicate directly with customers and suppliers, leading meetings, sharing regular project updates and managing delivery challenges.
- Drive internal teams to ensure that engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering team members, purchasing team members, and other functions to ensure alignment to goals.
- Manage project financials and takes measures to ensure that costs are under budget.
- Assess and manage project scope changes, ensuring that appropriate change control procedures are followed and are documented via contract change order.
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate.
- Monitor project deliverables to ensure adherence to internal quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage customer billing as contractual milestones are successfully achieved.
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
- Conduct post-delivery review and document lessons learned to enhance future project delivery performance.
- **What you will need**:_
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
- Proven experience with supply chain management including vendor selection, the procurement of raw materials and fabricated equipment, price negotiations and contracts.
- 3-5 years of purchasing project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and be proficient with MS Project or a similar project management tool.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer facing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and devise work arounds.
- English proficiency is a must. Proficiency in other languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Italian, Korean) is an asset.
- Knowledge of mining or marine industry design and manufacturing standards, regulations and best practices is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A continuous improvement mindset, take pride in your work, and be highly accountable.
- Be curious and enjoy learning.
- Ability to travel globally occasionally.
