**Education Program Coordinator**

**Location**: Saskatoon

**Wage**: $19/Hour

**Number of Positions**: 1

**Employment Length**: Four to ten weeks. July and/or August

**Who is SEDA**?

The Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association envisions a world where youth have the confidence and skills to engage in reasoned discourse on complex and difficult issues. We work to advance the speech arts among Saskatchewan youth by providing and developing speech and debate programs and resources. SEDA hosts competitive tournaments, helps start speech and debate clubs, provided resources to teachers and coaches, and teaches debate and speech skills to students in grades 5-12.

**Job Summary**:
Are you passionate about empowering young people? Do you have a passion for the speech arts? Do you enjoy reasoned discussions and debates? SEDA is looking for an energetic person to help us develop public speaking and debate programming.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Develop, improve, and adapt material for speech and debate workshops and tournaments.
- Participate in feedback and reporting processes

The Program Coordinator will work from our Saskatoon office.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Digital skills - comfortable with technology
- Leadership experience, and team oriented
- Reliable and organized
- Access to computer/laptop/tablet and reliable internet connection
- Speech or debate experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with young people strongly preferred
- Successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check

- Monday to Friday
