**What is a Cannabis Processing Intern?**

As a Cannabis Processing Intern, you will collaborate with a team of cannabis experts to process post-harvest material, craft exceptional cannabis products, carry out packaging and labeling tasks, and provide support to our cultivation team. You gain insight into the behind the scenes of what it takes to produce high quality cannabis products that keep customers coming back for more.

**Cannabis Processing Intern responsibilities**:

- **Craft** premium cannabis products, from trimming to packaging to sending products out the door to consumers.
- **Adhere** to strict quality and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and facility standards.
- **Master** processing equipment, calibrating and maintaining it for peak performance.
- **Safely handle** concentrated materials with precision and care, prioritizing safety.
- **Maintain** a pristine workspace, sanitizing every tool and surface to prevent contamination and uphold facility standards.
- **Learn how to document **your work meticulously, tracking every step of the production process.
- **Collaborate** with the whole team (processing, cultivation and operations departments) to deliver exceptional results.
- Be highly motivated individual with a team player mentality.
- Adapts quickly to changing tasks and remains flexible.
- Be eager to learn and excel in the cannabis industry.
- Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Be innovative, creative, and results-oriented

**Requirements**:

- **Must currently be enrolled in a post secondary institution to qualify for funding.**:

- **Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status to qualify for internship funding.**:

- **Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 prior to entering the facility.**:

- Local to the Edmonton area or able to commute, with reliable transportation.
- Able to perform physical activities for duration of shift (standing, walking, moving equipment, stairs) including repetitive movements (packaging, production).
- Comfortable squatting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as needed, including but not limited to sanitary clothing covers, gloves, mask, respirator, and/or eye protection while working.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. (22kg)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
