**Position Summary**: Precious Cargo’s Family Visitation Program provides child/ youth transportation services, supervised visitation, and monitored exchanges to families with a history of domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, mental health issues, and high-conflict parental separation. Children are provided with a safe environment to visit and form healthy relationships with their caregivers.

Under the agency’s policies and professional requirements, the Family Support Worker will provide hands-on direct assistance and parent-coaching to families and children who are referred for Supervised Visitation services. This may include child transportation, face-to-face supervision, audio and/or video supervision, fully supervised or semi-supervised visits at approved visitation sites, and parent coaching before, during, and after visits.

**Major Responsibilities**: Clearly define the policy and procedures of visitation services with all parties. Establish and maintain appropriate professional relationships with participants, and provide all necessary documentation regarding the visitation services (reports, case updates, etc.)

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION**:

- A degree or diploma in Human Services or Social Sciences or two years of work experience with children and families is preferred.
- Strong ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and must be self-motivated
- Interest, commitment, consistency, and a high level of personal maturity and responsibility
- Excellent written/ verbal communication skills, strong documentation skills reporting on parent-child interactions
- Knowledge of family systems, child abuse, mental health, and domestic violence
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong familiarity with the Child and Youth Family Enhancement Act and the Family court system
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Very sound judgment and excellent communication and observation skills.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and dedicated
- **Must have a valid Driver’s License and Must have own reliable vehicle.**:

- **Must be legally eligible to work in Canada**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only
