**Student, Information Management, Privacy and ATIP**

**Number of Positions**: 1

**Term**: October 7th, 2024 to December 20th, 2024

**Schedule**: 25 hours per week

**Location**: Ottawa, HQ

**Salary**: $17.30 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education.

**Language Requirement**: English Essential

**Summary of responsibilities**

In this role, you will:
Perform IM support services, assist, and support various projects to ensure high quality IM procedures and practices, including:

- Document Life Cycle Management - Administering classification and control of records through their life cycle, from creation to their disposition in both RDIMS and SharePoint.
- Communication and Awareness - Developing communication and training material for general IM awareness, as well for SharePoint, CATSA’s collaboration and document system, etc.
- Occasionally assist the Senior ATIP Advisor on files as needed.

**What you need to succeed**:
To qualify for the position, you must have:

- Enrollment in a college diploma or a university degree relevant to the duties of the position;
- Experience preparing various documents (e.g., presentations, reports, summaries, etc.) and clearly and concisely communicating information and recommendations;
- Be able to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines;

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse workload and to effectively establish priorities;
- Evidence of initiative, self-direction and strong time management skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as have strong teamwork skills;

**Valuable skills include**:

- Working knowledge of IM principles, program components, and related legislation and regulations;
- Knowledge of the complete IM lifecycle;
- Knowledge of IM and Records Management policies, standards and practices;
- Knowledge of retention and disposition operations of documents;
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Records Management Systems;
- Experience using automated correspondence and records management systems;
- Knowledge of security classifications and designations;
- Knowledge of Government of Canada Information Management Policies and Procedures, best practices; and
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (document management capabilities).
- Knowledge of the _Privacy Act_ and _Access to Information Act_.

**To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must**:

- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance;
- Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and
- Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
