Brescia is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill a position as:
**ITS Help Desk and Web Technician**
**(Full-time, Permanent)**

**Salary Grade 6 - $29.47 per hour
The ITS Help Desk & Web Technician position is responsible for both providing information technology support to
end users across the organization as part of the Help Desk team and for managing the website infrastructure to
ensure website optimization, security, and performance. The role reports to the ITS Manager but also works closely
with team members from the Communications, Marketing & External Relations Department.

**RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)**:
**Help Desk Support**:

- Provide information technology support to end users across the organization as part of the Help Desk team.
- Assist with equipment set up and maintenance, including installing and configuring hardware, software, and
- network set ups.- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks as required.
- Provide solutions and advice on technical issues.
- Use feedback from end users to improve problem-solving techniques and customer service.

**Website Support**:

- Monitor and maintain website system security.
- Review and performance-test existing server systems.
- Install and maintain web server resources.
- Optimize server networks.
- Ensure the quality of web products, services and user interface experiences.
- Troubleshoot network and server issues.
- Propose and implement website improvements and efficiencies.
- Monitor web server back-ups and test recovery options.
- Monitor and enhance website integration with various software systems (i.e. Salesforce).***

**Software Resource Management**:

- Maintain a complete catalog of software assets including verified users.- Monitor software from a functionality and security perspective.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Undergraduate Degree or 3 year Community College in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer

Systems Technology, Web Development or related programs.
- Continual software training and technical skills upgrading are required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in information technology.
- A strong knowledge of website infrastructure including software, server equipment, apps and integrations.
- Experience working in higher education is an asset.
- Strong trouble shooting skills necessary to find solutions to computer issues.
