**Position Type**: Part time, with the expectation to work some evenings and weekends as needed (Approx 25-29 hours/week with the potential for full time hours).
**About the Organization**: _Founded in 2014, the Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) is an Alberta-based charitable organization providing support to individuals with eating disorders and their caregivers. EDSNA’s vision is to ensure no one has to face an eating disorder alone. This organization is committed to inspiring hope, reducing stigma, raising awareness, building connections, and offering meaningful support at all stages of recovery_

**Summary of Primary Job Function**:
An opportunity exists for a highly organized and empathetic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit-- the Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) is hiring for a new Programming Director.
The Programming Director will lead a small, diverse team to coordinate EDSNA’s client and caregiver programming, and support organizational outreach and awareness activities. They will lead the development of new programming; review and revise current programming; connect with the communities EDSNA serves, and find ways to better reach those in need of support. If you are detail-oriented, a self-starter, team-oriented, and have a broad understanding of the complexity of eating disorders this might be the role for you
**Summary of Responsibilities**:
- All stages of program development: creation, review, evaluation, revision, and reporting
- Hiring, onboarding, and managing relationships with contracted group facilitators
- Review, revision, and update of website (Wordpress), and registration platforms (Jane, Eventbrite); support updates to other means of communication (social media, newsletter)
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members and volunteers, including recruitment, training, and supervising
- Support public awareness activities as needed, including co-facilitation of presentations, presence at in-person events
- Assist, with appropriate delegation as necessary, the planning and execution of small
- and large-scale campaigns and events
- Participate in annual budget development; strategic planning; forecasting
- Data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes
- Support -and lead where necessary
- the grant writing process
- Create and foster relationships with other like-minded individuals and organizations to assist in building a ‘net’ of eating disorder support in the province
- Seek out outreach opportunities in the community that align with EDSNA’s vision, mission, and values.
**Requirements**:
**Must Haves**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field such as social work, psychology, public health, occupational therapy, nursing, non-profit management. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Nuanced understanding of eating disorders, including diagnostic criteria, complexity of accessing care, and diversity of experience across intersectionalities
- Excellent communication skills -- strong written and verbal communication skills; strong public speaking skills
- Experience and comfort with software: Wordpress, Google
- Willingness to assist with duties beyond the job description to ensure work is completed (within reason)

**Nice-to-Haves**:
- Experience with marketing, communications, business administration
- ASIST, QPR, or crisis de-escalation training (or similar)
- Experience within a charity or non-profit organization
- Event planning experience
**Employment type**: Permanent part time employee
**Remuneration**: $23.00 to $25.00 / hour commensurate with skills and experience.
