Sodium Solutions Inc. is a fully integrated chemical supplier and packager, based in Western Canada. Sodium Solutions services a variety of industries, including oil and gas, industrial, agriculture, and forestry sectors. Sodium is engaged in proprietary toll blending, custom packaging and commodity packaging of dry products and adapts to the changing environment and needs of their clients. Sodium Solutions warehouses and stocks inventory throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all activities on the facility production floor, including but not limited to inventory management of raw materials and finished product, crew supervision, and the general maintenance of operating equipment, supplies and building maintenance.

**Production Management**
- Plan, organize, and coordinate production activities to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Monitoring inventory level and production schedules, ensure on-time delivery of products, and make necessary adjustments to meet customer demands. Schedule and supervise the day-to-day activity of personnel to meet logistics coordination and production needs.
- Manage daily operational flow throughout the site - coordinate empty and loaded truckmovements.
- Load and unload trucks as required per company standards. Example: bulk trucks are unloaded within 2 hours or less, and outgoing finished product in loaded within 1 hour.
- Inventory management of raw materials and finished goods as well as operating and maintenance supplies.
- Prepare production areas daily, troubleshoot, and repair equipment when necessary.
- Implement customer specific product identification procedures for raw and finished products.
- Perform monthly inventory counts and reconciliation. Perform daily paperwork including production reports, manage bill of lading, delivery tickets, and stock transfer tickets.
- Communicate with purchasers on products needed to order before production.
- Maintain product quality and consistency.
- Investigate and address any quality-related issues that may arise during production.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

**Maintenance**
- Maintain plant site and optimize utilization of existing warehouse capacity.
- Responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery and equipment
- Responsible for building & yard maintenance including snow removal.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.

**Safety**
- Ensure all crew employees are properly trained to complete tasks in a safe & efficient manner, to meet all applicable Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and internal policy guidelines and rules.
- Ensure crew employees are supplied with proper PPE needed for the job.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the department.
- Other tasks as required.

**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have previous shipping/receiving and production experience, preferably in a supervisory position.
- Certified Forklift / Skid Steer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Previous experience and understanding of WHIMIS, OH&S compliance, transportation laws, WCB, and workplace related guidelines is required.
- Complete understanding of product pallet configuration and safety in materials handling.
- **Must be mechanically inclined in order to perform applicable preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and diagnose mechanical problems.**
- Basic working and mechanical knowledge of all equipment and machinery on site is required.
- Some welding and fabrication required.
- Able to handle scheduling and shifting of multiple priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
- Leadership and strong communication skills a must.
- Capable of lifting and moving product up to 50lbs throughout daily shift required.
- Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
