Who we are looking for:
Triple Eight Transport Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as solid computer skills, time management, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Join our team as a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Clerk If you have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy, this position is perfect for you.

Objectives of this role
- Keep accurate records of company finances.
- Monitor financial health and compliance.
- Strengthen organizational culture by collaborating with the accounting and management teams.
- Take note of and report discrepancies in financial records.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with purchases and refunds.
- Minimize and quickly correct errors.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare GST/HST returns.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of management reports.
- Record daily company transactions.
- Maintain timely communications with clients.
- Fill out tax forms and work with accountants to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance.
- Assist in preparing financial reports.
- Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors.
- Other duties as required.
- A diploma or degree in accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ability to multitask, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations preferred.
- High degree of personal organization, including scheduling and prioritizing work tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bookkeeping certification or license, strong accounting principles and financial operations
- Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and strong understanding of math and numbers.
- Proficient in bookkeeping software, experience in Great Plains Software is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to identify problems and implement workable solutions.
- ** Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada.
