**You have**:

- Completion of a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, or Total Rewards
- Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Pay Equity Act (Ontario) and relevant sections of the Collective Agreement
- Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of total rewards, compensation and benefits
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive payroll and benefits information
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality work under pressure and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and proactive mindset to manage multiple priorities
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to pivot due to changing business needs and priorities
- Proactive critical thinking skills to anticipate relevant issues or concerns
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze, manipulate and present accurate information

**Nice to have**:

- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or in the process of obtaining
- Work experience within a unionized organization

**What you will do**:

- Monitor and respond to general inquiries within the various team inboxes and escalate complex inquiries to the Compensation & Benefits Specialists
- Support the maintenance of compensation information, data, and tools for accuracy and effectiveness
- Provide administrative support related to the annual base salary review process from beginning to completion
- Participate in discussions regarding initiatives/changes in organization structures and provide corresponding organizational design and job evaluation support
- Analyze total rewards data, complete cost modeling, compile reports and documentation and work with the Employee & Labour Relations team to implement collective bargaining agreement changes related to total rewards
- Coordinate and administer the corporate rewards and recognition program, the annual benefits re-enrollment process for non-bargaining staff, and MPAC’s annual scholarship program
- Assist in the coordination, research and participation of benefits and compensation surveys and aid in researching and compiling industry benchmark trends
- Identify trends through the review of program metrics and ad hoc reports and make recommendations to improve program effectiveness including internal program discounts and MPAC Perks
- Provide timely updates in relation to benefits premium changes and salary ranges, and provide support to the maintenance of position and structural information in HRIS
- Monitor compliance with service level agreements, identify and resolve issues and escalate unresolved matters as appropriate
- Provide support as an intranet web editor
