The base salary range for this position is $62,300 to $87,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Diploma, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in environmental sciences or related field.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a professional designation, such as P.Ag or RT.Ag.
- Experience directly related to monitoring environmental compliance during pipeline construction and reclamation, or projects similar in nature. This includes but not limited to soil and material handling, weed management, wetland/water course crossings, and implementing wildlife-specific mitigation.
- 5+ years of experience monitoring environmental compliance on large
- and small-scale construction projects.
- General wetland and watercourse classification skills.
- General wildlife monitoring and construction-mitigation knowledge.
- Experience related to implementing drainage and erosion control measures.
- Strong field skills in identification of weed species, native vegetation, and common agricultural crop-types in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
- Experience referencing environmental alignment sheets, environmental protection plans, and/or similar documents used to guide construction to ensure environmental compliance.
- Knowledge of common soil characteristics and classification.
- Willingness to work in the field in remote locations for extended periods of time.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and suited to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Hold or be willing to obtain Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) designation.
- Experience using the Canadian System of Soil Classification.
- Knowledge of British Columbia’s, Alberta’s, and Saskatchewan’s reclamation standards, such as Alberta’s 2010 Reclamation Criteria for Well sites and Associated Facilities.
- Experience completing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments within Western Canada.
- Experience using and analyzing remote sensing technology.
- Experience writing environmental protection plans or other environmental mitigation and compliance documents.
