Communicative Disorder Assistant
0.2 FTE Permanent
Learning Services - Special Education
Applications from permanent employees from within the PSSP Bargaining Unit, other permanent Board employees, as well as external applicants will be considered.
**Responsibilities**:
Implement language programs to individuals and groups on a withdrawal or in-class basis
Collaborative planning in relation to program direction and implementation procedures
Develop appropriate materials for speech-language pathologists, students, parents and teachers
Assist Speech Language Pathologist in development of carry-over programs and materials
**Qualifications**:
Diploma from a recognized Communication Disorder Assistants program at a Community College
Experience with the school-aged population would be an asset
Ability to work with a team of professionals
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Membership in the CDAAC would be an asset
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required
Salary Range
$39,705 - $51,719 per annum
