Niagara Falls Tourism is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter with a passion for destination marketing. The Marketing Manager is responsible for day-to-day contributions towards Niagara Falls Tourism’s (NFT’s) social media strategy, helping build our social communities, create engagement with partners, and communication with potential travelers.

The Manager has knowledge of social media platforms and experience designing content, building/managing content calendars. This role works with our Marketing team to post/track content and analyze the effectiveness of the posts & campaigns. The Manager will be asked to perform additional activities outside of Social Media to support the Marketing team, including preparation of reports, printed destination guides, launching of campaigns & maintenance of a destination photo bank.

**1.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**
- The Marketing Manager reports to and is directly responsible to the Director of Marketing & Communications
- **JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Required Education
- Post secondary training in marketing, communications, or related field
- Experience
- 3+ years experience managing marketing campaigns, social media advertising, content writing and coordinating media proposals
- Direct experience working in the travel/tourism industry
- **Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**
- Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to write compelling copy
- Track record of managing successful marketing initiatives
- Great communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multi-task, follow through and re-prioritize to meet deadlines on multiple projects
- **Working Conditions**
- Requires sitting sometimes for long periods of time
- Work will be performed normally within eight to ten hours per day.
- Occasional early or late meetings, or events beyond the scheduled work hours.
- This position is based in the office on a full time basis.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Manage the execution of marketing initiatives and content development that support the strategic plan, which includes websites, publications, and seasonal campaigns
- Write engaging website content and copy for marketing initiatives
- Create and execute social media advertising campaigns based on approved campaign strategic plans and budgets, with support from marketing team
- Coordinate proposals for media buys based on approved campaign strategic plans and budgets
- Monitor website and campaign analytics to guide marketing decisions; produce weekly and monthly reports to track against KPls
- Assist with the coordination of media and production initiatives
- Ensure high quality creative and production is upheld maintaining consistently high standards
- Manage a diverse workload with some demanding and or competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a commitment and passion to maximizing member satisfaction
- Demonstrate ability to set high priorities, standards, and an urgency of achieving the critical goals and objectives of NFT
- Keep a pulse on the changing travel and media landscapes to keep NFT ahead of the curve

**MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE**
- Timely execution of initiatives and functions outlined in this job description
- Increased awareness of the destination in domestic and international markets; drive traffic to NFT website through marketing campaigns
- Keep the Director of Marketing & Communications informed of all marketing trends, changes, and opportunities
- Demonstrate sound judgement and decision making

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
