This person will be working at the banquet Hall (Le Crystal).

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Clean and Cut any ingredients required
- Participates in the preparation of food items
- Complete mise-en place and set-up
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment
- Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift
- Execute any other designated task
- Help prep the food assigned to you
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

**ESSENTIAL CORE COMPETENCIES**
- Positive attitude & Good work ethic
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends
- Cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 1 year culinary or related work experience;
- Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job;
- Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task;
- Move about facility and stand for long periods of time;
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

**RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE**

L'assistant chef de cuisine est chargé d'assister les chefs dans leurs tâches. Cette personne travaillera à la salle de banquet (Le Crystal).

**FONCTIONS ESSENTIELLES DU POSTE**
- Nettoyer et couper tous les ingrédients nécessaires
- Participer à la préparation des aliments
- Compléter la mise en place et l'installation
- Commencer les aliments qui sont préparés à l'avance
- Utiliser, entretenir et nettoyer correctement le matériel de cuisine
- Travailler de façon harmonieuse et professionnelle avec ses collègues et ses superviseurs
- Aider à la préparation des légumes et des condiments, selon les besoins de l'équipe suivante.
- Exécuter toute autre tâche désignée
- Aider à préparer les aliments qui vous sont assignés
- Suivre les recettes et les spécifications de présentation
- Nettoyer et entretenir le poste en respectant les règles de sécurité et d'hygiène.
- Respecter les règles d'hygiène et les normes de sécurité

**COMPÉTENCES ESSENTIELLES**
- Attitude positive et bonne éthique de travail
- Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois
- Bilingue (anglais et français)
- Doit être capable de travailler sous pression et de gérer des situations stressantes en période d'affluence
- Doit être capable de travailler les soirs et les week-ends
- Formation dans une école de cuisine ou un institut culinaire ou expérience équivalente ;
- Minimum de deux ans d'expérience dans le domaine culinaire ou dans un domaine connexe ;
- Les connaissances pratiques sont généralement acquises en cours d'emploi ;
- Compétences en matière de couteau et capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois ;
- Se déplacer dans l'établissement et rester debout pendant de longues périodes ;
- Excellente compréhension des diverses méthodes de cuisson, des ingrédients, de l'équipement et des procédures.
- Précision et rapidité dans l'exécution des tâches assignées
