**IT Coordinator - Several positions available in part time and full-time roles**
WellFort is a non-profit, values-based organization that provides health promotion and prevention programs, primary and oral health care and works with local residents and other agencies to increase community capacity.
The IT Coordinator functions as the strategic lead and primary technical support for all staff and partner agencies and liaises with and supervises sub-contractors who work for the organization as Information Technology (IT), computer systems, or network consultants.
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Health, the IT Coordinator will implement security measures, manage IT asset inventory, and support troubleshooting and planning to ensure comprehensive care and community support. The role involves collaborating with leadership to identify innovative solutions for efficiency and care delivery and ensuring best practices for asset protection and integrated care. This confidential position includes on-call duties.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with third-party managed services to maintain server and network infrastructure, and manage SharePoint, OneDrive, backup, and data recovery, IT disaster management.
- Escalates issues when required to the third-party managed service provider and manages satisfactory resolution.
- Provide training for staff on office equipment and business processes.
- Support EMR users (Accuro and others) and work with the Decision Support team.
- Maintain a ticket system for tracking IT requests and issues.
- Maintain inventory control for all IT equipment including computers, laptops, printers, labelers, cell phones, tablets, IP addresses, e mail accounts, warranties, cameras, projector. Uses a sign out system to track IT equipment
- Work with HR and the third-party managed services provider to handle user credentials, onboarding, and access privileges.
- Consult with management to assess technology needs and system capacities, and recommend development plans, hardware/software purchases, and IT budgets.
- Manage the procurement of IT equipment, verify orders, manage warranties, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Recommends and negotiates contract terms with consultants, technical personnel, vendors and supervise their work.
- Backup systems and ensure data recovery.
- Maintain system architecture and oversee IT risk management.
- Stay compliant with organizational policies and government regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information exposed to during business regarding patients, supervisors, employees and other stakeholders and manage network security.
- Responsible for systems administration, maintenance, and security.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and incident resolution.
- Set up user accounts, configure equipment, train staff, and manage ticket queues.
- Install, configure, and maintain company hardware and software such as Smart Phones and Tablets
- Clean and maintain IT work areas and perform routine system backups and upgrades.
- Partnership with integrated care planning initiatives across the region and with other identified partners
- Participates in research when opportunities arise.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned (related to IT equipment and processes)
**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**
- Undergraduate degree in related discipline or combination of focused education and equivalent demonstrable experience
- 3+ years of IT experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Training and Knowledge in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), and foundation certificate is an asset.
- Experience with telephonic and technology tools for operational effectiveness.
- Experience teaching complex systems using adult learning principles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize IT escalations and technical issues.
- Recent experience in the healthcare sector is an asset.
- Experience with strategic large-scale projects to improve business processes is an asset.
- Excellent team collaboration, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and innovation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different literacy levels.
- Experience handling confidential and time-sensitive documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in value-based non-profit or social services organizations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams.
