Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for administering the full cycle recruitment activities. This position will also provide support to the Human Resources department on projects outside of the area of recruitment such as Onboarding.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure implementation of the standardized process for recruiting including appropriate approvals
- Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
- Identify current and prospective vacancies
- Develop recruitment strategies to approach & recruit graduates of college programs and other educational institutions for coop/intern placement etc.
- Follow up with applicants to communicate interview results
- Validate references and other required background checks
- Prepare job offers for hiring managers
- Leads the onboarding process once a signed offer letter is received
- Maintain various recruitment reports for Management

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATONS
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 1 - 3 years of previous working experience in a Human Resources related role (preferably recruitment).

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven knowledge & experience in Talent Acquisition and recruitment strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Onboarding module of Dayforce/Ceridian is a definite asset
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety and Code of Professional Conduct policies and Corporate Values
