The Director of Health Services is responsible for providing comprehensive leadership to CUPS health teams, ensuring patient services are delivered within CUPS Integrated and Trauma-informed Care service delivery frameworks. The Director of Health Services will plan, implement, monitor and evaluate all aspects of CUPS Health Department operations, working in collaboration with the CUPS Director group to continuously improve Integrated Care service within Health and across the agency ensuring operations are in alignment with CUPS Theory of Change. The Director of Health Services will provide both clinical and administrative direction to the health leadership team, providing coaching and support for leader development and sustainment of high functioning and trauma-informed work environment delivering high-quality patient care.

**Leadership**
- Create an approachable, caring and trauma-informed environment for workers, patients and guests
- The Director of Health will provide direct supervision to the leaders of CUPS Health Department and maintaining oversight of all Health teams to ensure the provision of service per CUPS Theory of Change, operating standards, governing body requirements and program goals
- Create goals, objectives, initiatives and action plans that are aligned with the organizational strategic plan and are deployed in coordination with other departments and programs within CUPS
- Co-lead with the Director of Programs the design and implementation of the strategic initiatives relating to Integration of Services and Theory of Change as well as collaborative partner and champion of all strategic initiatives throughout the organization.
- Provide leadership and coaching to assist staff and contractors with the achievement of an integrated and team-based model of care for CUPS’ clients, identifying process and skills gaps of staff and contractors to develop improvement plans
- Work collaboratively with the Medical Director of Health on program initiatives and Quality Improvement strategies that support access and low barriers to service delivery
- Oversee and lead implementation of Accreditation for health programs
- Promote a culture that reflects CUPS purpose, ambition and values

**Organizational Alignment and Performance**:

- Consult and liaise with the CUPS Directors to ensure that clinical services are coordinated and collaborative across professional disciplines
- Ensure all staff and clinical consultants develop and maintain practice knowledge of Integrated Care, the research and evidence behind Brain Science, and standard use of CUPS’ Integrated Care Tool, creating strong trauma-informed and integrated service practices
- Develop and maintain a compassionate, professional and effective Health team via effective recruitment, training, performance management and engagement strategies
- Assist with facility credentialing and maintaining licenses and policies for compliance
- Participate in development and maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets, and exercise necessary controls to assure operations achieve a balanced fiscal position
- Facilitate the maintenance of accurate and complete health records which meet the demands of integrated care and the Health Information Act (HIA)
- Act as the designated data custodian for purposes of the HIA, and work with staff to respond to patient/participant concerns
- Understand program evaluation & reporting requirements of Health teams, ensuring data integrity, work closely with evaluation teams, and meet various reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Champion CUPS continuous improvement concerning Health & Safety through participation on CUPS OH&S committee and embedding of CUPS health & safety practices within the clinic

**Stakeholder Relations**:

- Foster strong, collaborative, interdependent relationships with CUPS Departmental areas, specifically CUPS Directors Group
- Foster a healthy and safe working environment by providing support, coaching and intervention for worker relations concerns and communication barriers within the team and across the organ
