We are currently looking for a Community Outreach Agent (COA) to join our team.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:
The Community Outreach Agent (COA) is responsible for bridging between _**Our Community**_ **(Action Centre)** and the _**Outside Community**_, so people and other organizations know _**who we are and what we do**_. We want to highlight and show off all the great things we have to offer _and _the outstanding services we deliver each-and-every day. The COA will grow our lead base, membership rate, social presence and contributes to building and strengthening community partnerships.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the responsibility of the COA is to build relationships and partnerships, identify liaison leads and potential members through networking, event planning/hosting, and a variety of community outreach activities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Included but not limited to:

- In collaboration with the Executive Director, achieve membership and partnership targets (by nurturing relationships, partnerships and accurately forecasting client needs )
- Arrange and host prospect outreach events.
- Identify community events, sponsorships, and other local opportunities for the community to participate.
- Understand community trends, as well as partners’ services and offerings, etc., to maintain a successful community presence.
- Produce and distribute marketing collaterals such as brochures, posters, etc. in targeted locations (i.e. health units, seniors’ centers, community centers, churches etc.).
- Work positively and collaboratively with all team members and supervisors, to share insights and best practices, including regular meetings
- Be an engaged collaborative team player, developing and maintaining professional relationships that support and strengthen the organizational culture and purpose, engage in the team to achieve the objective and key results of the organization.
- Utilize and maintain the community database, computer skills are a must.
- Additional duties as directed by the ED, when required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A completed college or a batcher degree in relevant domains
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in community setting
- A passion working with adults with physical disabilities.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel locally.
- All successful applicants must pass the Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Effective written and spoken communication skills in English and French
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Work independently and in a team environment
- Highly organized and able to multi-task
- Highly self-motivated, with a passion for delivering outstanding results
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and previous use of a CRM or Data Base management system.
- Job Conditions:_
- Part time (14-28 hours per week), 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Salary: $22
- 1 year contract with possibility of extension

**Tâches et responsabilités**:
L'agent de liaison communautaire est responsable de faire le lien entre notre communauté (le Centre Action) et la communauté extérieure, afin que les gens et les autres organisations connaissent qui nous sommes et ce que nous faisons. Nous voulons mettre en évidence et montrer toutes les grandes choses que nous avons à offrir et les services exceptionnels que nous fournissons chaque jour. L'agent développera sa base de prospects, son taux d'adhésion et sa présence sociale, et contribuera à l'établissement et au renforcement de partenariats communautaires.

Sous la responsabilité du directrice générale, l’agent est chargé d'établir des relations et des partenariats, d'identifier des contacts et des membres potentiels par le biais du réseautage, de la planification et de l'organisation d'événements et d'une variété d'activités de sensibilisation de la communauté.
