Maintenance Supervisor

**About the Position**:
Supervises and coordinates day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds and facilities systems. Oversee staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades.
Provide a safe and positive work environment and ensure each employee is fully trained.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Upgrading factory equipment and tools as needed to improve the speed, efficiency, ergonomics and safety of factory operations.
- Manage distribution and tracking of hand tools
- Accomplish facilities results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Determine priorities, set tasks, direct workflow, outline materials methods, and provide direction for facilities personnel that meet the business plan and work force utilization requirements.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, resources, maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications and content.
- Mediates, investigates, and or resolves employee issues and grievances with guidance and help of the HR department
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Train and mentors employees as well as facilitate employee development.
- Ensure compliance with Haakon Quality Standards.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Conducts inspections to ensure that assigned facilities are properly maintained.
- Coordinates, assigns, and maintains work schedules and assignments for custodial and labor and trades employees to ensure adequate coverage of designated work areas.
- Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all factory equipment and machinery, including but not limited to sheet metal brake presses, folders, shears, punch presses, laser cutters and buffering stations.
- Inspects and evaluates facility construction and renovation projects.
- Confirms work specifications with building codes.
- Interprets and maintains physical plant in compliance with applicable building, health, safety, fire and environmental codes and regulations; initiates required corrective action.
- Maintains complete inventory of equipment; develops, implements, and monitors preventative maintenance schedules to ensure maximum longevity of equipment; and determines replacement, repair, and maintenance needs.
- Track equipment documents, maintenance schedules and maintenance records in MPulse maintenance management software
