The Ajax packaging facility, where these positions are based, is one of the largest employers in Ajax and Durham Region. We provide innovative packaging solutions to the beverage market and serve name brand customers such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Labatt and Molson to name a few.

The WestRock Ajax facility is looking for a **Quality Auditor **to work on Shift 2. Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor and working closely with the Shift Supervisor the Quality Auditor is responsible for the regular inspection of cartons in both the Print Cut and Finishing departments.

**How you will impact WestRock**:

- The Auditor conducts an ongoing inspection of product at various stages of the manufacturing process checking attributes contained in the Infinity Auditors project.
- Report any quality or food safety problems immediately to the appropriate people, document the problems in Infinity or the Audit Inspection Log, and retain samples where appropriate.
- When product is found to be out of specification, the Auditor works to manage the nonconforming product.
- As instructed by Supervisors or Managers, perform tests, obtain samples, evaluate stock and work in various other capacity to obtain satisfied customers.
- As requested, help backtrack, isolate material or unpack and re-inspect cartons that have been put on hold due to possible defect.
- Assist where necessary to get samples glued.
- Daily housekeeping including keeping work area clean, empty bad cartons into scrap bin and performing daily inspection of corrugated staging area at gluers.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Must be Safety conscious and work with a high level of hazard awareness.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or production industry.
- Experience working with Infinity and Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Excel, etc.) considered an asset.
- Thorough understanding of carton specifications, inspection standards and I.S.O/S.Q.F. procedures is required.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 40-50 pounds.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and work in a "Team Environment".

**Shift Schedule**:
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts including days, nights and weekends
- Days: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
