Colgate-Palmolive, a leading global consumer products company, seeks an experienced Auditor to join its Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will conduct periodic reviews of financial and operating activities to provide assurance to management and the audit committee that established policies and procedures are properly applied.

About the Role

The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting audits to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement. This involves obtaining and analyzing data, developing audit programs, conducting tests, and ensuring that testing is completed as scheduled and documented in compliance with departmental standards.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes and internal controls, including GAAP and SOX principles.
  • They will also be proficient in analytical tools and software, such as Google Suite or Microsoft, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Obtain and analyze data to assess risk and develop audit programs.
  • Prepare audit planning memoranda, conduct tests, and document findings in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Liaise with local business unit personnel to gather information and keep senior audit management informed of progress and issues identified during the audit.
  • Review staff auditors' work to ensure compliance with the program and departmental audit quality standards.
  • Suggest opportunities to improve and facilitate resolution of issues that may inhibit the audit team's performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Public Accounting experience, preferably Big Four.
  • 4+ years of relevant Audit or Finance experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 65% of the time, with majority international travel.
  • Analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite (Docs/ Sheets/Slides) or Microsoft.
  • Working knowledge of business and financial processes and internal controls (GAAP, SOX, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CIA, or equivalent.
  • MBA.
  • Exposure to manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $91,200. Colgate offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
