**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Western Forest Products has an exciting opportunity for a **Customer Service Intern** to join our **Vancouver Corporate Office** for either a 4 or 8-month term, starting in May 2024.

**What You’ll Do**:With the overarching objective of Defining a Higher Standard in Supply Chain, the Supply Control Intern will be responsible for supporting the Sales, Logistics, Documentation and Supply Chain streams through a variety of tasks. All of which will support the development of the individual’s time management, analytical and communication skills while giving them insight into the coastal lumber supply chain business.

**Who You Are**: You’re currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree / diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, Wood Products, or related discipline. A curious and hard-working individual with good communication and organizational skills, with an interest in data and analytics and a keen eye for detail.

- Salary range of **$42,000 - $52,000** based on skill level, qualifications, and experience

**Work Environment**: This role is to be performed in person at our Vancouver Corporate Office.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- With a focus on efficient and streamlined flow of lumber through the supply chain, key responsibilities of support for this position include:

- Providing support to Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, including order entry, reporting, and analysis;
- Providing timely customer service support to external customers - answering queries, investigating, and resolving issues related to orders and shipping;
- Ensures open order and shipment status updates are provided to their customers on an ongoing basis;
- With Supply Chain group, review the production forecast for logistics planning and booking purposes;
- Generate vessel shipments and shipping instructions for Export carriers / shipping partners;
- Generate export customer documentation set;
- Approve carrier freight invoices;
- Troubleshoot and assist shippers with documentation requirements;
- Perform other duties, projects, and assignments as needed;
- Travel as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Actively working towards a university degree/certificate in Logistics, Business Administration, Wood Products, or related discipline.

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and react to changing conditions;
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and under supervision;

- Intermediate experience with MS Office.
