**Job Title - Youth Engagement Lead**

**Employment Type**:Contract - Full Time - 12 months - Hybrid role (2-3 day working from our office in Burlington, ON)

We are looking for a creative, detailed oriented, and positive individual with a desire to have an impact on the development of youth. Someone with high energy, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to easily connect with the youth. A person eager to get the work done and hungry for learning and improvements.

The Youth Engagement Lead will be responsible for creating a supporting and nurturing environment to help the development of the youth. This will be achieved through youth recruitment and mentorship, events coordination, volunteer engagement, and partnership development.

**Responsibilities**
- **Youth recruitment and development**_
- Build a mentorship relationship with the youth by connecting with them individually on a monthly basis.
- Ensure quality and timely project report submissions by the youth.
- Connect the youth with the appropriate resources to help their development
- Keep up to date the youth database including the summary of touch points, submissions and attendance.
- Identify and pursue ways to find and recruit youth with leadership potential

**_Events coordination_**
- Plan, prepare and lead the organization events including retreats, coaching circles, act to lead and partnership events.
- Build and maintain a calendar of events.
- Continuously explore new and innovative ideas and activities for engaging events
- Prepare and track the events budget
- Work closely with the creatives team to promote Seeds brand and events

**_Volunteer engagement_**
- Plan and lead volunteer recruitment events
- Develop a volunteer engagement and training plan
- Build a trusting relationship with the volunteers
- Work with the Seeds team to develop meaningful volunteer opportunities

**_Partnership building_**
- Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with partners
- Identify organizations suitable for passion projects collaboration
- Expand Seeds’ network and learning organizations
- Solicit event sponsorships

**Attitude and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferred experience of 2-3 years in supporting the development of youth
- Comfortable with flexible work time including weekends
- Ability to relate to the youth
- Optimistic mindset
- Hunger for excellence
- Strong critical thinking
- Creative
- Strong attention to detail
