About The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Commercial Insurance Account Associate for our Programs division. This role involves working closely with the divisional manager & account managers and requires someone who is responsive with strong time management skills. This is an ideal role for someone with strong customer service skills with experience working on programmatic business.
What You’ll Do
**Day-to-day activities for clients and prospects including**:
File management, preparation of client renewal packages (certificates, summaries, etc.)
Calculating provincial taxes and preparing premium finance quotes, etc.
Timely issuance of submissions, binders, summaries, policies, etc.
Effective communication with clients and third parties, i.e., answering client inquiries and communicating with insurance companies
Monitoring client accounts receivable statements, and collecting outstanding premium owing;
Building relationships with sub-brokers across Canada and writing business in the industries and programs we develop
What You’ll Need for Success
RIBO (Ontario Broker’s license) or ability to obtain in short order Required
Typically, 2+ years of Insurance Industry and product line experience - broking or underwriting
Experience in the placement of commercial lines accounts is preferred (i.e., Cyber, D&O, property, CGL, etc.)
Experience delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
Professional communication, and strong interpersonal skills
Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive customer experiences
Self-starter and strong team player able to work within a service team
Effective organizational skills and time management
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).
Ability to learn and understand new systems quickly; EPIC fluency is an asset.
