As a Retail Supervisor, you will be focused on but not limited to:

- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Grouse Mountain’s Retail locations including the Outfitters, Spirit Gallery, and Essentials while ensuring maximum efficiency, customer flow and safety.
- Completing opening and closing duties of the department and coordinating day-to-day operations of the retail team.
- Handling cash and ensuring accounting procedures are followed including daily cash outs and float reconciliation.
- Recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing up to 15 staff for various front-line areas in Retail Operations.
- Completing internal payroll, data entry, performance reviews, daily logs, and other company documentation according to outlined standards.
- Manage the guest experience and ensure service standards are met or exceeded to achieve a high Net Promotor Score
- Achieving and maintaining outstanding customer relations with internal and external guests, including responding to customer comments and concerns while displaying a Guest Obsessed attitude at all times.
- Promoting a positive work environment and culture by leading by example and maintaining strong and supportive relationships with all staff
- Maintaining standards for merchandizing, stocking, rotation and storing of products and inventory.
- Other duties as required

- Be punctual, reliable and show up for work in full uniform in all weather conditions. Arrive fit for work and take responsibility for your personal health and safety.
- Provide guests with information regarding all Grouse Mountain products, activities, events, and daily mountain operations schedule. Generate sales through personalized service and strong product knowledge.
- Be a team player, dependable and work considerately with all departments within the company.
- Show initiative in handling routine matters and have quick, thoughtful judgement in any situation.
- Possess a willingness to learn new skills and a proactive approach to work.

**Supervisory Responsibility**:
This position provides direct supervision to the Retail Associates and Retail Key Holders.

**Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- At least 2 years previous experience supervising employees in a quick service or retail environment preferred.
- At least 2 years experience in a retail and sales role
- Experience in merchandizing and display setup and asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, customer service and organizational skills through a strong work ethic, innovative thinking, and a positive attitude.
- High attention to detail, with a focus on equipment accuracy and safety.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate duties amongst a team.
- Excellent work ethic and attitude, with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, challenging environment.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, and experience with point-of-sale system an asset, including cash handling and cash-out procedures.
- Available for five days per week and to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays

Successful applicants over the age of 19 will be required to provide results of a clear background check valid within six months of the hire date before starting work. Grouse Mountain will assist with this process if the applicant does not have a valid background check.
