**Position Summary**: The Finishing Site Supervisor at Patry Group of Companies plays a pivotal role in overseeing the construction process from drywall to completion. This entails ensuring that project milestones and details are achieved with a focus on impeccable workmanship and timely delivery. This position involves managing quality insurance inspections, pre-delivery inspections, and rectifying 30-day deficiencies to guarantee that units are in optimal condition before owner occupancy. The Finishing Site Supervisor also provides leadership to sub-trades, assists in various on-site construction activities, and assumes the role of Site Supervisor when necessary.
**Key Responsibilities**: As the Finishing Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating in the creation and management of the finishing schedule from drywall installation to occupancy.
- Scheduling and overseeing warranty-related deficiencies, including Quality Assurance (QA), Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), and 30-Day inspections.
- Upholding high standards of workmanship and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining effective communication and progress reporting between sub-trades and clients on the construction site.
- Assisting the Site Supervisor in providing temporary supervision for on-site sub-trades and offering guidance to site workers.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety training and reporting protocols.
- Utilizing personal tools for miscellaneous construction and site tasks as required.
- Ensuring the safety and operational readiness of company-provided tools and vehicles.
**Supervision**: In this role, you will:
- Ensure that construction work aligns with architectural drawings, specifications, zoning/building bylaws, Ontario Building Code (OBC), and company policies.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of each sub-trade to maintain a smooth and continuous workflow, ensuring proper workmanship and material usage.
- Organize additional labor when necessary to meet project requirements and verify time cards.
- Procure essential materials to facilitate project completion.
- Manage the responsible use and security of company tools and assets.
- Provide effective leadership, guidance, and supervision to construction workers, site staff, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Contribute to maintaining a tidy and secure worksite environment.
**Qualifications**: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an assistant supervisor role or equivalent, preferably with experience in commercial and/or residential projects.
- Strong organizational skills and a talent for conflict resolution and people management.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans.
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, and legislation.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows Office.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
