**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Control and manage the work of lab operators including working schedules and time keeping;
- Ensure that results from final product testing are loaded onto the system;
- Release final product, ensuring the compliance of customer specifications; final product holds and disposition, when necessary;
- Control of the raw materials, sending to the supplier the non-conformity when out of specification
- Report all product Quality non-conformances and rejections to Manager;
- Revaluation of raw materials and finished products;
- Participate and train in tasting the finished product;
- To ensure the management of the retention/library samples;
- Ensure general cleanliness calibration/verification/maintenance of the QC equipment;
- Order/manage the QC consumables and materials stock;
- Supervise the control of pests - including monthly pest control audits;
- Supervise expedition controls: Ensure that the Certificate of Analysis are accompanied with customer loads, ensure necessary expedition checks are done by operators and prepare necessary concession documentation;
- Carry out regular checks on QC paperwork to ensure it is completed correctly and filed accordingly;
- Assist with the necessary information in client´s complaints investigations;
- Assist with the execution of internal audits;
- Supervise the hygiene of the factory, ensure that daily good manufacturing practices (“GMPs”) checks are carried out with the necessary actions;
- Authorize suspension of the manufacture of defective products at any stage of the process to the checks and apply/propose any necessary corrective action;
- Report the KPIs from QC; and
- Replace the Quality Assurance Manager in case of absence.

**WAGE**:
CAD 58,240.00 per annum based on a 40-hour work week. Eligibility for annual salary increase and performance-based bonus.

**EDUCATION**:
Post-Secondary Diploma in Science, Food Science or Microbiology

**EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality control positions in food processing or manufacturing;
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, CCPs and Food Safety (e.g. BRC);
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve, be task and detail oriented, and work effectively in a team environment;
- In-depth knowledge of production processes and quality control;
- Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and problem-solving aptitude;
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring product quality;

Pay: $58,240.00 per year
