**Job Summary**:
The Manager, Scheduling is responsible for maintaining a top-level production schedule for all bulk and finished products in a manufacturing environment. The Manager, Scheduling liaises with the Global Supply Chain team to ensure that the manufacturing schedule fulfills demand requirements and achieves stated goals for customer service levels. Additionally, the Manager, Scheduling oversees a team of 3 staff to analyze data and present findings on the manufacturing operation. The Manager, Scheduling takes into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven core values such as Sustainability (people, planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.
**In this role, you will**:
- Provide support and leadership to the Bulk and Packaging Scheduling team, including absence relief when required
- Ensure alignment of bulk and packaging schedules, including inter-plant schedules
- Conduct short term supply and demand analysis; and liaise with teams within Global Supply Chain department to define priorities such as maximizing equipment utilization
- Lead data analysis efforts on manufacturing data to identify patterns or issues and drive issues to improvement or resolution by leading cross-functional teams
- Act as Operations lead for Master Data elements within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Connect with other departments to upkeep data related to product routings, standard times, economic batch quantities
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and Finance teams on information updates for ERP settings through the change control process
- Maintain a stable and realistic build schedule that leverages available plant capacity and minimizes volatility in a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) environment
- Assist operational managers in cost-effective allocation of shop floor labour
- Develop and maintain analytics to aid in the measurement of performance against valid indicators (e.g., schedule attainment and schedule adherence) and benchmarks
- Manages reporting staff, including selection, training, coaching, development, performance management and all other people-management practices.
- Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
**You Have**:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ related work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Deep knowledge of production planning, purchasing, capacity planning, and machine scheduling
- Knowledge and experience with various elements of supply chain management
- Proficiency with various ERPs and MRP, and their inherent best practices
- Proven experience in proposing sound metrics for measurement, conducting analysis on data from multiple sources and reporting
