What you will do:
Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Total Rewards Analyst is responsible for developing recommendations and providing analytical expertise related to the company’s Total Rewards, Compensation and HR programs. The incumbent also supports the design, implementation, communication, and administration of our compensation programs.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide end-to-end support on fixed and variable pay programs, prepare cost models, contribute to total rewards budget development and spend tracking, conduct business case analytics, research, and find ways to improve, automate, and streamline processes.
- A key contributor during year-end compensation activities (base salary, bonus programs, variable compensation), provide analysis and support in compensation structure review.
- Conduct thorough job and compensation analysis on new and existing roles independently or in collaboration with Total Rewards Manager, where applicable. Proactively maintain national wage grid to reflect changes in provincial minimum wage rate.
- Participate in salary surveys and HR/total rewards benchmarking to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. Analyze market trends, economic data, contribute to people analytics, and support the maintenance of HRIS specifically related to the compensation modules, processes and data.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations. Participate or assist HR or compensation projects and initiatives as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, human resources, or a discipline pertinent to the position combined with relevant professional experience. Certified Human Resources Professional designation would be considered an asset.
- Three years’ experience in analytical roles in human resources, finance, or other similar business functions.
- Analytical skills, detail-oriented, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (ex: pivot tables, lookups, IF function, Charts etc.,), and strong HRIS experience.
- Understanding legislation requirements as it relates to compensation matters, payroll, and benefits.
- Focused listening, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required to communicate with a variety of individuals on a regular basis.
- Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
