- Fresh in your Fridge is a holistic private chef service in Vancouver BC Canada.We’re a proudly Canadian and woman-owned small (and growing) business that leads with a people centered approach and a fun, supportive, hands on work culture *We are a team of 13 that operate out of our facility in East Vancouver, including a small management team, chefs, and support team. *We care deeply about our private chef clients, and cook nutritious + custom meals for them on a weekly basis. Our ethos revolves around environmental consciousness and wellness. We adhere to low-impact, low-waste practices, opting for reusable glassware containers and mindful sourcing during grocery shopping. - We welcome new team members & Clients with open arms, fostering a *sense of belonging* and ensuring everyone feels onboard from day one. *The role* In this role, you'll be the *Master of our operations*, overseeing tasks, managing facilities, and leading our fantastic team, all while handling a variety of administrative and financial responsibilities. You’ll be the secret ingredient that ensures everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your mission will include upholding our team's culture and values, representing our CEO in the day-to-day, embodying our core values, and acting as a key liaison across FIYF. *Key Responsibilities* *Operational & Facilities Management*
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our team of chefs and kitchen staff. Ensure compliance with daily and monthly kitchen checklists, including cleaning tasks, temperature logs, and food waste logs.
- Organize and lead bi-weekly Kitchen Management meetings, coordinating action items with the Operations Assistant. Support the ops assistant in keeping supplies ordered and stocked for the kitchen such as name cards and glass containers.
- Manage chefs, drivers, and schedule clients, handling complex and extensive coordination tasks. Create, adjust, and dispatch delivery routes, managing weekly setup and dispatching of delivery driver routes. Oversee all aspects of managing delivery drivers, including stepping in as a delivery driver when necessary.
- Oversee the renewal and management of business licenses, coordinating updates and ensuring compliance with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) approvals.
- Coordinate contractors for monthly, quarterly, and yearly facilities management tasks, such as pest control, grease trap cleaning, equipment maintenance, cooler/freezer maintenance, and annual fire inspections.
- Managing tenants renting space from FIYF, serve as an emergency contact for all facilities-related emergencies. Responsibilities include handling billing, space coordination, issue resolution, contracts, and serving as the main point of contact. *Team Management & Upholding Core Values*
- Conduct interviews and onboard new hires, encompassing chefs, drivers, and kitchen helpers. Additionally, oversee administrative onboarding specifically tailored for new chefs.
- Track chef Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), manage chef schedules, including vacations and sick days, and oversee a team consisting of 9 members: Operations Assistant, Chefs, Kitchen Helpers, and Drivers. Act as the primary representative of our CEO in daily activities, embodying our core values and ensuring the team embodies the FIYF culture.
