**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
The Supervisor, Contract Management facilitates the procurement of goods and services associated with the support, planning and implementation of various restoration construction projects. Management of contracts coupled with monitoring of budgets, schedules, earned value and risks associated with project delivery falls under the purview of the Supervisor, Contract Management.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Leads the procurement and contract management for discrete phases or components of larger projects (procurement tenders/construction management).
- Prepares contractual agreements, procurement reports and information for restoration and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Develops, negotiates and manages the tendering process in support of construction project planning and delivery.
- Undertakes effective risk definition and analysis to ensure appropriate mitigation and management of risks at various stages of the project in collaboration with team leadership.
- Participates in contract negotiations and vendor debrief meetings.
- Manages contract compliance and leads investigations into stakeholder disputes.
- Within authority level and project scope, approves expenditures, purchases and contracts. Where required, negotiates contracts/services with support of others to ensure satisfactory terms for TRCA.
- Leads a team of staff and ensures that team members understand expectations; communicates schedule, tasks and discusses priorities of items.
- Supports onboarding and provides on the job training and support as needed for individuals; also identifies any gaps in or potential improvement areas for training, development, process, resources, or procedures.
- Ensures staff/volunteers/contractors, as applicable, comply with health & safety policies, and other TRCA policies, as applicable in various work environments.**What will you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction/ Contract Management, Procurement or a related field or equivalent
- Valid Ontario Class G2 driver's license
- 4+ years of experience in contract management and procurement of construction related goods and services.
- 1+ years of progressive managerial, supervisory or project management experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong budget management and cost control skills; able to address variances and manage ongoing risks while managing multiple deadlines / work processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences.
- Ability to use critical thinking to evaluate problems, gather information, understand causes, and identify best possible solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare consultant terms of reference and procurement documents.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member to coach staff and work with stakeholders (internally and externally) and negotiate project variance/timelines; ability to deal tactfully and courteously with stakeholders, public officials.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, related Regulations and legislation
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint.
