Position Overview:
Join the Finning Team as a Regional Repair Planner for New Equipment Preparation (NEP) In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a library of Repair Standards that will promote consistency in repeatable scopes of work. Leveraging these standards will enable the Regional Repair Planner to effectively plan upcoming work and monitor constraints within the plan. You will report to the Manager, Repair Planning and Standardization, where you will also be responsible for the direction and prioritization of incoming work into the operations network. Serving as a primary point of contact for local Product Service Support Representatives (PSSR) and Operations groups.

In this role you will also be responsible for routing New Equipment Prep opportunities to the facilities best positioned to perform the scope of work safely, profitably, and efficiently. By leveraging insights from the dealership Capability and Capacity database you will direct the work to optimize labor and asset utilization throughout the network whilst balancing customer expectations with established network governance models. You will have responsibility to maintain a continuous flow of available work into each of the assigned facilities and monitor the facilities velocity to ensure timely completion across their assigned territory.

To promote a “One-Finning” mindset, this role will also be responsible for the development of consistent and repeatable repair standards to be applied across the network. These standards will consider administrative and technical requirements and will help enable repair velocity across the network. These standards will help to support effective planning and enable strategic sales and operations planning initiatives. Measurement of performance to these plans will help to ensure pipeline health and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the broader network.

**Job Description**:

- Partner with Equipment Sales Representatives to build an understanding of required work scope and coordinate the deployment of these scopes to the NEP Prep facility contacts
- Work with each assigned operational facility with regards to throughput and backlog aiding in workflow direction
- Proactively identify bottlenecks or constraints (tooling, parts, capacity) and support/lead in solution development and implementation
- Ensure an understanding of repair progression and impacts to future scheduling by actively participating in the facilities daily scheduling meeting and consolidate regional activities into master schedule
- Follow up on repair progression and scheduling to determine current and upcoming workflow cycles
- Support area managers with operational planning and analytics
- Review and coordinate the completion of outstanding Service Letters (Priority, Safety & Containment) within assigned region
- Responsible for the effective handoff of repair opportunities to the receiving facility ensuring repair scope and timeline requirements are effectively communicated to facilities for execution
- Monitor incoming opportunities to ensure continuous flow of work into each of their repair facilities optimizing the utilization of the organization’s capital assets (Human and Equipment)
- A good understanding of the NEP Prep process and the impacts of parts and attachment constraints with the ability to leverage the whole network to assist in the completion of one repair in multiple facilities to improve prep velocity
- Develop and maintain detailed insights into each assigned facilities capacity and constraints to feed into master schedule and Service, Sales and Operations Planning sessions
- Develop weekly/monthly/annual reports on work distribution and throughput for each of the assigned facilities
- Actively work with other stakeholders in the NEP Prep funnel, supporting reporting and collaboration to improve velocity and customer experience
- Active participants in Service Sales & Operations Planning Sessions to improve the accuracy of resource opportunities and constraints
- Share key metrics and insights into regional performance and backlog with leadership groups
- Ability to travel to NEP Prep facilities will be a requirement of this role

Qualifications:

- Strong technical knowledge with understanding of equipment is an asset
- Persuasive communicator with excellent collaboration and influential skills
- Ability to work independently, think strategically and deliver on a plan
- Highly organized with the ability to problem solve and prioritize
- Strong understanding of Caterpillar systems would be an asset
- Proven ability to utilize a variety of software tools (M3, Smartsheet, databases, flowcharts etc)
- Previous operational experience with equipment and product support
- Experience operating in a large complex changing environment
