**THE ROLE**:
**Reporting to the Senior Director of MEC Label, the APLM is responsible for supporting the MEC Label Product Line Managers (Hardgoods and Softgoods) to build a strong product line management process. Especially as it relates to establishing a “single source of truth” for product data through our PLM system. The APLM will also ensure that data integrity is always maintained, and cross functional communication of that data is done in an accurate and timely manner to deliver against key calendar dates. This is 12 month fixed-term contract.**:
**The APLM will work closely with design, development as well as the planning and merchandizing teams to build the product line management (PLM) process and system integration across relevant functions, to deliver against the MEC label’s brand and product goals. This person must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.**:
**The role as an entry into product line management will evolve to take on product line and business ownership and will eventually lead the product creation cycle for a sub-section of a given a given category (ie: SG - Kids Apparel). Despite the initial project management work required, the APLM will be working very closely with both hard goods and soft goods PLMs and will be exposed to every facet of the product creation cycle, including, trend/market and historical sales analyses, line planning, design briefing, color and fabric direction, costing and development/commercialization work**:

- **Maintain high level of data accuracy and integrity for PLM system data for entire product line.**:

- **Strong leadership skills to be able to create cross-functional partnerships**:

- **Work with PLMs to develop skills to build a strong product line architecture with a clear strategy for all member segments to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets.**:

- **Develop expert knowledge of product creation to drive high perceived value through fabrication trims, embellishment executions, and garment construction while controlling IMU targets.**:

- **Build strong understanding of our target outdoor audience and market dynamics, as well as competitive product offers within and outside the industry.**:

- **Work cross-functionally with merchants, designer and developers during briefing process to ensure market and brand needs are being met through product offering.**:

- **Develop the ability to merchandise the line with a high degree of sensitivity for specific categories and consumer needs.**:

- **You have solid experience in project management.**:

- **Experienced managing complex situations that require patience and determination.**:

- **Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.**:

- **Rational thinker with strong problem-solving skills.**:

- **Sound understanding of the Product line management.**:

- **Highly proficient in Excel, ERP systems and Adobe creative suite**:

- **Experience with PLM Systems.**:
