In this role, the Parts Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. You will play a key role in managing inventory, leading a dedicated team, and fostering strong customer relationships through excellent service and proactive outreach. Your ability to streamline operations and maintain a robust parts supply chain will be essential in supporting our clients and internal teams. This position also offers a unique opportunity to grow parts sales, drive operational excellence, and contribute to Cropac Equipment's overall success.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable for managing all aspects of parts inventory within parts system
- Optimize Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Grow profitable parts sales
- Drive the parts inventory process and keep our supply chain running smoothly
- Monitors parts sales (open orders, estimates, concessions, and contracts)
- Works with the Operations & Service Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
- Maintain a high-performance parts team through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management in a safe environment
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with requirements of all facets of the business
- Work with product support and manufacturing groups to source and stock internally manufactured product parts
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Parts Technician or comparable position in the dealership/trucking industry.
- Prior managerial experience
- A certified Journeyperson Parts Technician is considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of CDK Drive is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses analytical skills to evaluate data, make operational decisions and solve difficult problems with effective solutions using logic and methods
- Possesses a strong understanding of business principles and sound business judgement
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain a strong customer service focus and attention to detail, with Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a customer service-focused, high-volume, fast-paced environment
