**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES**:

- Review daily forecasted bird supply (trailers, weights, volume) against production plans and schedules to forecast potential supply / production requirement conflicts.
- Advise Operations of oncoming weight ranges and coordinate with Operations to optimize bird size placement against schedule requirements.
- Review prior day production reports/metrics with operations and S&D, to identify and resolve ongoing issues and to manage process performance.
- Co-ordinate with Operations to achieve and maintain in-day and next day WIP (work in Process inventory) targets.
- Liaise with Operations to resolve in-day exceptions / issues / conflicts.
- Monitor integrity and process capability of PDS system components (IRIS Smart-Weigher, Distribution line & programming). Notify IT/Operations of any issues and collaborate to resolve.
- Monitor and track process performance, including key metrics, giveaway, customer service levels, commodity whole bird sales, tray pack plant weights.
- Utilizing stakeholder input, maintain accurate priority sequencing, weights, bird drop rates, land customer stretch allowances in PDS software.
- Policies, Processes & Procedures: Adhere/comply with company policies and procedures. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Two (2) plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in an operations/supply chain role in the food & beverage industry.
- Knowledge / experience in capacity-constrained production planning/scheduling process
- Team-player with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities;
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
- Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential;
- Strong communication skills
- High technical aptitude with demonstrated advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel. Add additional skills that are relevant to success in the role.
- General Computer Skills (e.g. MS Office)
- Experience and knowledge of six sigma process improvement tools would be an asset.

**Education and Certification Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field;

- This position is 50% Office based and 50% Manufacturing plant floor-based, working with a great team
