**Position Summary**:
Greenworks Tools Canada is looking to bring a social media specialist onto our growing marketing team. As our social media specialist, you will create and post content across all our social media platforms with audience building and reach being our main goal. You will monitor metrics, stay up to date on trends and tech, and show off your creativity writing and scheduling up to five unique posts per day across all platforms.

We are looking for someone to cut through the noise online and carve out our place in the battery powered landscape. Using a variety of online tools and programs, you will work to maintain a positive company and brand image and ensure that all social media posts align with the brand's aesthetic and company values.

As our Social Media Specialist, be ready to handle 1:1 response across channels, evaluate communication escalation paths, and attract existing and prospective followers with top-notch content strategies while analyzing data to determine engagement and build digital communities.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate approval of the always-on organic content calendar by social platform on a quarterly and/or monthly basis; includes creation of social media copy and briefing in creative teams based on program strategy, social media & audience insights
- Manage all social media posting from brand owned channels, guarding the overall brand's look and feel, staying true to the brand's objectives
- Lead briefings, production management, and approval processes of any social assets/ posts which support daily & opportunistic moments
- Monthly and quarterly social media reporting, providing insights and implications about content performance, consumer audience/ behaviors on social, competitor insights & best in class industry examples which further help drive brand social media strategy and increase engagement
- Lead execution of community engagement and outreach efforts, evaluate success and work to refine strategies on an ongoing basis
- Experience building and maintaining a strong community within the influencer and lifestyle marketing space - through managing and interacting with online communities via Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook etc.
- Develop social media strategies that span across multiple platforms (Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and others)
- Act as the Social Media expert for our accounts, keeping the team up to date with changes in the ecosystem, current best practices, and trends

**Qualifications and Background**

Required:

- A professional with 1 to 2 years of experience in social media, community management or digital marketing role
- Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications or relevant field preferred.
- A self-motivated individual driven with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media management and analytical tools, including Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Marketing Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition.

Desirable:

- Marketing Cloud by Salesforce experience
- Experience working with Shopify
- **Fluency in French is a plus**
- Minimum 2 years building online communities in the influencer space
- Prior experience in B2B and B2C community building and branding
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social/website analytics tools knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitch, etc.
- Good understanding of SEO/CRO in content development and content marketing.
- Must keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Digital Marketing/Social Media Marketing.

- A Social media enthusiast (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) with insight towards strategy and execution.
- A clear communicator in person and in writing with fluency in English.
- A proven presence with hands-on experience working in Community Management - enterprise-level brand experience is an asset.
