**Terms of Employment**: Full Time, Contract. The duration of this contract will initially be for 3 months, however it can be extended based on business requirements.

**Hours of work: 7am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday**

**Work Location**: 5353 50 St SE Bay 31, Calgary, T2C 3W1

**Role Purpose**:
Immediate, contract opportunity for a friendly, self-motivated, detail orientated administrator with exceptional interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail. Working at Metrie’s largest manufacturing facility, we require someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks whilst delivery high quality work.

**Reporting Relationships**:
This role reports directly to the Director, Calgary MDF Manufacturing.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- **Employee Onboarding**: Handling the onboarding tasks for all new employees, liaising with hiring managers to make sure everything is set up and ready for their first day.
- **Workers Compensation Claims**: Reviewing and processing WCB claims, uploading employee and incident information to the WCB portal in a timely and efficient manner, data entry work, liaising with WCB claim advisors regarding follow up inquiries and return to work plans. Speaking with Metire Manufacturing HR Business Partner as required.
- **General Administration**: Maintaining employee binders, making sure necessary paperwork is completed and filed accordingly, assisting with employee engagement events.
- **Payroll**: Setting up new hourly employees in ADP, verifying schedules, reviewing time off requests. Assisting with ADP questions that employees may have.
- **Ad hoc administration duties and general HR inquiries from employees as required**.

**Professional Experience and Qualifications**:

- Ideally previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years working in an administration /office HR support role.
- Completion of post-secondary diploma.
- Previous experience handling the administrative side of WCB claims is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize a busy workload.
- Thrive on supporting others, solutions focused.
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Politically and culturally sensitive, with a high degree of conscientiousness and proven ability to manage sensitive or confidential information.
- Strong time management, problem solving and organizational skills, gained in a high volume environment with competing demands and constant changes.
- Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Self starter, keen to roll your sleeves up and take a pro-active approach to key issues.
- A friendly, approachable and helpful working style, tailoring your communication style to the different stakeholders you are supporting.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, whilst maintaining the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Applicant Tracking Software, PowerPoint, HRIS enterprise platform (ADP), etc.
- Self-starter with the ability to resolve routine issues and problems; can work “in the grey”, with a “can-do” attitude.
