Social Scientist: Low Carbon Smart Mobility

About this role:
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity for career growth with people who care about our world, then this might be the role for you Our Social Scientist: Low Carbon Smart Mobility will be responsible for researching and understanding the social impact of transit electrification in Canada.

What you will do:
1. Design and deploy surveys, focus groups and interviews for members, conferences and thought leadership events. This will include collecting data, analyzing data and developing standardized methodologies to optimize membership success
2. Design and deploy surveys, focus groups and interviews for our research and commercialization projects allied to zero-missions buses and low-carbon smart mobility
3. Collect
4. Prepare presentations and reports summarizing the findings for our executive managers, staff members, Board of Directors, project partners and government stakeholders
5. Develop, research, write and edit literature reviews related to our project initiatives
6. Support the development, standardization and ongoing improvement of peer review matrices to enable the highest quality internal peer review performance process
7. Collecting both qualitative and quantitative research, methodology ideation, development and execution.
What you will bring:

- Fluent English language skills required in written and spoken form
- Minimum Masters degree in a relevant social science field
- At least three years of industry experience in both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Demonstrated expertise in surveying methodologies, qualitative interview and focus groups techniques and associated analytical methodologies (such as content analysis
- An understanding of what is required to be able to deliver on project management tasks including, but not limited to, designing and executing projects with stakeholders and preparing deliverables.
- High-level competency with audio-visual technologies, such as communications software (e.g., Zoom communications tools) and statistical/analytical software such as SPPS or NVivo or equivalent programs

- Evidence of experience working within a small to mid-sized business/enterprise environment.
- Evidence of a committed work ethic and the pursuit of excellence in professional or personal life.

- You can be located anywhere in Canada as long as you have continual or reasonably frequent access to high-fidelity internet as 100 percent of CUTRIC’s daily business activities are carried out digitally - including video-based digital meetings, which require high-fidelity Wi-Fi. Work will be carried out remotely omitting the possibility of bi-annual staff professional development retreats, which may require travel.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
